Fluid reflections in water and the haunting sound of wind become metaphors for loss, mourning and the passage of time in this personal work featuring three generations of a family.

The flow of water and sound of wind become metaphors for mourning and the passage of time in this tender work about intergenerational relationships. A memorial service for a loved one that took place at two rivers inspired Seno to depict still and moving surfaces of water by layering her 16mm film and digital footage.

As leaves and twigs break through rippled reflections of the sky and landscape, distant figures from the past seem to appear from beneath the water, alongside images of family members crouched at the riverbank. The sound of rushing wind haunts the soundtrack, bracketed by a whistled tune from the past, and a whispered voice speaking about what is to come
