Parallax is a newly launched series of talks and demonstrations that explore the shifting boundaries between cinema, technology and new forms of storytelling.
Free to attend and held over two days, the programme gathers filmmakers, artists, industry leaders, legal practitioners and researchers to examine how moving images are being reshaped by technology from conception to circulation. They explore emerging tools and production workflows alongside ethical considerations and their impact on creative labour and authorship. At its heart, the programme asks: what remains distinctly human in the making of a film, and what role should technology play in it?

Theatre Studio (Level 4)
A renowned group of French location-based virtual reality companies come together to discuss their productions and explore the multidimensional business and public engagement applications of this medium.
Location-Based Virtual Reality (LBVR) refers to an immersive form of VR in which virtual environments are experienced within specially designed physical settings. While conventional VR generally involves one user at a time, LBVR is designed for several participants to experience the same interactive virtual environment simultaneously. Participants can therefore move together in a physical space while interacting within a shared virtual world.
This programme is supported by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (France) and the Institut français.

Voooooo—Peeeeee—
White Room (Level 3)
Voooooo—Peeeeee— is a multisensory XR experience where a woman discovers her body has become hollow after being reconstructed as data. Wind leaks from within, and a strange creature settles in the void, breathing in rhythms of expansion and collapse. Her monologue drifts between memories of loss, data clouds beneath the sea, and endlessly replicated virtual worlds. Through VR cinema and a pneumatic wearable interface, audiences physically experience this expanding virtual volume as pressure and breath, entering a space where bodily presence and technological space overwrite one another.
