Join the conversation with Peter Ho-sun Chan, a leading figure in contemporary Chinese-language cinema and the first director to have won three major directing awards at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Golden Horse Awards, and Golden Rooster Awards.

Emerging during Hong Kong’s golden age of cinema, Chan co-founded United Filmmakers Organization (UFO) in 1991, shaping iconic urban melodramas like Comrades, Almost a Love Story (1996). His vision later expanded internationally with DreamWorks’ The Love Letter (1999) and pan-Asian production company Applause Pictures. By directing acclaimed blockbusters like Perhaps Love (2005), The Warlords (2007) and Wu Xia (2011), Chan seamlessly blends commercial appeal, genre storytelling, and artistic vision.

In this exclusive dialogue session, Chan will share insights into his four-decade cinematic legacy, and how he continues to be an advocate for the Chinese-language film industry and broader pan-Asian collaborations.
