An ageing director seeks to reconnect with his estranged adult daughters while preparing for his comeback film in their family home.

Ageing auteur Gustav Borg re-emerges in his estranged adult daughters’ lives after their mother’s death, to shoot a new film in their family home of several generations. When his firstborn Nora, a famous stage actress with anxiety and a fear of commitment rooted in her dad’s abandonment, declines the lead role, a Hollywood superstar steps in.

As Borg calls in favours to bring his new work to life, he must confront mortality, his strained relationships and unforgiving changes to the film industry. Against the backdrop of an ancestral home whose fractured walls are thick with memories and history, this sprawling, bittersweet family drama presents art as a way to escape from and exorcise our demons.
