Staff/Contract Positions

The Business Development Intern will support the Business Development team in the planning, coordination, and delivery of sponsorship engagements for the festival. This role offers hands-on exposure to sponsor/ donor management, event hospitality, and partnership operations within a dynamic arts and cultural environment. The intern will work closely with internal teams to ensure sponsors receive a professional, timely, and well-coordinated experience across communications, benefit fulfilment, and festival activities, while upholding confidentiality and organisational standards.

Job Scope

Sponsor Engagement & Communications

  • Assist in drafting and sending email updates to sponsors regarding festival developments, exclusive events, and sponsor entitlements.
  • Support timely responses to sponsor enquiries, escalating issues where necessary to ensure professional follow-up and resolution.

Sponsor Benefit Fulfilment & Coordination

  • Assist with the organisation and distribution of sponsor passes, hospitality invitations, merchandise, and sponsorship collaterals.
  • Track sponsor benefit fulfilment, including collection and delivery, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

Donor Engagement & Communication

  • Support the drafting and sending of email communications to donors on festival updates, exclusive events, and donor entitlements
  • Assist in responding to donor enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Help ensure a warm, courteous, and consistent donor experience across all touchpoints
  • Benefit Fulfilment & Coordination
  • Assist in organising and distributing donor passes, goodie bags, and merchandise
  • Help track benefit fulfilment, including delivery and collection, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Event Support & Special Access

  • Support the planning and on-ground execution of donor-exclusive events, receptions, or screenings
  • Assist with coordination of VIP access, reserved seating, and hospitality arrangements for sponsors during the festival.

Data Handling & Confidentiality

  • Support the maintenance of donor records and benefit tracking in the donor database
  • Adhere strictly to the organisation’s data protection and privacy policies
  • Ensure donor information is handled securely and confidentially at all times
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sponsor records, including contact details and benefit entitlements.
  • Adhere strictly to the organisation’s data protection and confidentiality policies when handling sponsor information across all platforms.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Support post-festival sponsor feedback collection and reporting.
  • Assist in documenting sponsor interactions, fulfilment status, and service improvement observations.

General Administration & Project Support

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for sponsorship and partnership initiatives.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and operational tasks as assigned by the Business Development Executive or Sponsor Relations team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least a Diploma in Arts Management, Media, Mass Communications, Marketing, Business or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in other languages will be considered.
  • Driven, proactive, able to work independently and yet a good team player.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Confidence in interacting with all levels of people.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in presentation deck making (Google Slides, Powerpoint)
  • Interest in the arts, culture, or nonprofit sector preferred

We are looking for a Design Intern to join our team and contribute to the festival’s visual storytelling for SGIFF 2026. This role offers hands-on experience in designing marketing and branding materials for a major cultural event. You will work closely with the Marketing team to develop engaging visuals that align with SGIFF’s brand identity.

Job Scope

  • Assist in the creation of digital and print marketing materials, including posters, social media content (graphics and video content), brochures and event collaterals.
  • Support the team in maintaining brand consistency across all visual assets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and programming teams to conceptualise creative campaigns.
  • Assist in photo editing and simple video editing for promotional materials.
  • Help organize and maintain digital asset libraries.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the festival’s visual identity and social media presence.
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables effectively on assigned projects.
  • Assist in general administration and coordination for the Festival, which may include event organisation and other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualifications – Diploma/ A Levels. Currently enrolled students are welcome to apply.
  • Able to commit full-time (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required. Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro would be advantageous.
  • Hardworking, dedicated fast-learner, and able to work independently and yet a team player.
  • Responsible, calm, meticulous, organised and able to meet timelines.
  • Experience with project and event management—the ability to multitask and manage several jobs at once—will be an advantage.
  • Interest in film and/or the arts is preferred.

As an Event Management Intern, you’ll be at the heart of the action during the Singapore International Film Festival. Working closely with the SGIFF team and Guest Services, you’ll help bring screenings, talks, panels, receptions, and guest-facing events to life—ensuring every filmmaker, VIP, and audience member enjoys a seamless festival experience.

This role is ideal for someone who loves film, arts, and live events, and wants hands-on exposure to how a major international festival operates behind the scenes.

Job Scope

Guest Services Support

  • Welcome and assist filmmakers, VIPs, jurors, and invited guests throughout the festival.
  • Help prepare guest welcome packs, accreditation badges, and itineraries.
  • Support the hospitality desk or festival lounge by answering queries and resolving logistical needs.
  • Coordinate with transport and technical teams to support guest movements.
  • Escort guests to venues and ensure schedules and itineraries are followed.

Event & Operations Support

  • Support the set-up, live execution, and tear-down of festival events including screenings, Q&As, panels, and receptions.
  • Assist with guest check-ins, audience flow management, and seating coordination.
  • Distribute event materials such as schedules, signage, and welcome packs.
  • Provide on-site venue support to keep events running smoothly and on time.
  • Step in to support broader Festival Operations as needed.

Ticketing Operations & Platform Support

  • Assist with the setup and management of the festival’s ticketing platform, including screenings, venues, seating configurations, and ticket allocations.
  • Monitor ticket sales and flag platform or system-related issues to the relevant technical teams.
  • Support testing of ticketing flows and report bugs or inconsistencies.
  • Support quality control checks to ensure screening information (dates, venues, synopses, ratings) is accurate and consistent.

Guest, Sponsor & Industry Ticketing

  • Assist in coordinating complimentary ticket allocations for sponsors, donors, filmmakers, and accredited industry guests.
  • Support internal communication of ticketing entitlements, access policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to ticketing-related queries via email and other communication channels.
  • Assist with refunds, exchanges, and troubleshooting ticketing issues.

On-Site Operations & Queue Management

  • Assist in preparing guidelines for rush queues, accreditation entry, and access control at festival venues.
  • Support Front of House teams with ticket scanning, access checks, and basic on-site troubleshooting during the festival period.

Digital & Website Coordination

  • Work with the Digital and Communications teams to ensure ticketing information is accurate and updated across SGIFF platforms.
  • Assist with checks on event listings, ticket links, and pricing information.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Assist in drafting and updating ticketing guidelines, access policies, and internal documentation.
  • Contribute to post-festival reporting by compiling operational observations and improvement recommendations.

General Responsibilities

  • Support accreditation and delegate registration processes.
  • Liaise with speakers and moderators regarding schedules, materials, and technical needs.
  • Prepare briefing notes, session rundowns, and guest folders.
  • Assist in managing presentation decks, AV requirements, and venue coordination.
  • Support the administration of project submissions (tracking entries, eligibility checks, database organisation).
  • Coordinate communication with selected producers and project teams.
  • Compile project catalogues, synopses, and industry directories.
  • Assist in managing travel arrangements and accommodation logistics (where applicable).
  • Support the on-site festival experience, assisting to ensure events run seamlessly.
  • Help gather feedback from participants to evaluate the programme and inform future improvements.

As a Programme Assistant, you will work closely with the Programming team and gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a major film festival. You will support programming administration, including compiling and tracking film submissions, conducting film research, and maintaining the festival’s film database. During the festival period, you will have the opportunity to assist at a range of events—whether physical, virtual, or hybrid—offering a behind-the-scenes look at how large-scale cultural events are brought to life.

Job Scope:

  • Assist the Programme department in programming administration matters
  • Assist to compile and keep track of submissions
  • Assist in film research and managing film database
  • Assist in the IMDA submissions process
  • Assist in communications with filmmakers and industry participants
  • Assist in reviewing of films for selection
  • Assist in general administration and logistics for the festival
  • Assist at events run by the festival (physical, virtual or hybrid)
  • Assist in writing, editing and proofreading of festival communications pertaining to film programme and selection, including but not limited to festival catalogue and website.

Skills and Qualifications:

Our volunteers are among the most valued members of our community.
