Staff/Contract Positions
The Film Traffic Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient transfer of film materials and quality screenings of all festival films during SGIFF. This role is responsible for coordinating film traffic matters, managing test screening schedule and manpower, and preparing venues for screenings at selected sessions during the festival.
Period of Engagement: Contract for Hire 22 September – 19 December.

Job Scope:
- Timely coordination of film prints, film master files or/and hard drives between the film’s rights holders, technical lab and festival screening venues
- Timely coordination and collection of any PEM certificates from cinema venues and KDM files from film’s rights holders
- Work closely with the Programme Team to manage film traffic master sheet
- Schedule test screenings at screening venues and co-manage test screening manpower
- Contribute to film testing at selected sessions during the preparation phase of the festival
- Contribute to venue and screening preparation at selected sessions during the festival
Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience in event operations, venue management, or logistics and operations planning
- Basic knowledge of video post-production or/and cinema theatre projection
- Proficient in basic scheduling tools (e.g. Google Sheets, Airtable).
The Assistant Industry Coordinator (Special Projects) is responsible for the planning and execution of talent initiatives and industry-focused events during the festival. This role bridges event planning with logistical execution, requiring strong communication skills and sharp attention to detail.
Period of Engagement: Contract for Hire 1 October – 19 December.

Job Scope:
Project Management & Coordination
- Coordinate special industry initiatives such as pitching events and industry presentations
- Develop and maintain detailed production timelines, event calendar and briefing documents
Guest Liaison & Communication
- Coordinate industry guest flights and hotel accommodation with the festival’s guest services department
- Create personalised itineraries for guests, aligning schedules across multiple departments
- Communicate directly with industry guests to send invitations and ensure guests are aware of their obligations
On-Site Event Execution
- Ensure events run on time and according to plan by managing logistics, guest arrivals, and flow of activities
- Coordinate with venue partners to oversee space readiness, including tech setup, visual signages, front of house, and accessibility
Skills & Qualifications:
- Background in production, event/ stage coordination, or arts management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
The Venue Coordinator is responsible for the smooth operation of a designated festival screening venue. This is a public-facing, service-oriented position requiring excellent organizational and communication skills. The role oversees front-of-house operations, manages volunteers, coordinates audience flow, and ensures a welcoming and professional experience for filmmakers, guests, and ticket holders.
Period of Engagement: Contract for Hire 17 November – 8 December.

Job Scope:
Front-of-House Operations

Oversee all front-of-house activities at the assigned screening venue

Supervise and coordinate volunteers, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned and carried out efficiently

Manage audience entry and exit, queues, and latecomer protocol

Set up and operate the festival information desk at the venue
Ticketing & Accreditation

Be familiar with festival accreditation passes, ticket categories, and donor/complimentary ticket policies

Oversee badge holder ticket allocations and donor ticket procedures

Manage rush queues and last-minute ticket resale processes in line with festival policy

Check IDs where film rating restrictions apply

Guest & Audience Services

Welcome and support filmmakers attending introductions or post-screening Q&As

Coordination & Logistics

Coordinate with the Screening Coordinator on door-opening/closing times and any schedule adjustments

Skills & Qualifications:

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during the festival period from 26 November – 7 December.
Internship Positions
The Event Management Intern will play an essential role in supporting the planning and execution of events during the Singapore International Film Festival. Interns will work closely with both the Events and Guest Services teams to help deliver smooth, well-organised screenings, panels, receptions, and guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about film, arts, and live event production to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic festival environment.
Period of Engagement: 15 September to 19 December 2025.

Job Scope:
Event and Operations Support
- Assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of festival events including screenings, Q&As, panels, and receptions
- Help manage guest check-ins, audience flow, and seating logistics
- Distribute event materials such as schedules, signage, and welcome packets
- Provide on-site support at venues, ensuring each event runs to schedule and meets festival standards
- Help with the support of other Festival Operations where applicable
Guest Services Support
- Assist the Guest Services team in welcoming and orienting filmmakers, VIPs, jurors, and other special guests
- Help with the preparation of guest welcome packs, accreditation badges, and itineraries
- Support the hospitality desk or Festival lounge by greeting guests, answering questions, and helping with logistical needs
- Coordinate with transport, hospitality, and technical teams to assist with guest logistics
- Escort guests to venues and ensure they follow itineraries

Our volunteers are among the most valued members of our community. As a volunteer at SGIFF, you will have the opportunity to learn what happens behind the scenes of a film festival, meet industry professionals and be among the first audiences in Singapore to watch some of the best new independent films.

Volunteer Positions
FOH Volunteers are the first point of contact for festival-goers and play a vital role in shaping their festival experience. They represent the Festival by providing excellent customer service and operational support at our screening venues.
A compulsory in-person briefing and orientation will take place on 15 November 2025, 11am to 1 pm.
Commitment: Minimum of 4 shifts (up to 6 hours each) during the Festival.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the information desk and provide assistance to festival guests
- Support ticketing operations, including collection and verification
- Usher audiences and provide stagehand support during screenings and events
- Assist with crowd management to ensure a safe and smooth flow of patrons
- Support merchandise sales at venues
- Provide assistance to the Venue Manager and FOH team as required
Other General Requirements for All Volunteers:
- Preferably aged 16 and above (as of October 2025)
- Comfortable interacting with the general public
- Proactive, takes initiative, and works well in a team
- Possess a friendly, approachable, and service-oriented attitude

Event Volunteers are the heartbeat of SGIFF’s social and industry events, creating a welcoming environment for festival guests and ensuring smooth execution of our key gatherings.
A compulsory in-person briefing and orientation will take place on 15 November 2025, 11am to 1 pm.
Commitment: Minimum of 4 shifts (up to 6 hours each) during the Festival.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support at Festival networking sessions, receptions, parties, socials, and lunches
- Assist with guest registration, wayfinding, and festival-related queries
- Maintain the upkeep and hospitality of Festival Lounge and event venues
- Work closely with the Guest Relations and Events team to ensure a seamless guest experience
Other General Requirements for All Volunteers:
- Preferably aged 16 and above (as of October 2025)
- Comfortable interacting with the general public
- Proactive, takes initiative, and works well in a team
- Possess a friendly, approachable, and service-oriented attitude
- Able to handle some physical tasks and irregular working hours
Social Media Volunteers help bring the Festival to life online by capturing authentic festival moments for SGIFF’s digital platforms. They focus on creating real-time content that reflects the excitement and energy of the Festival.
A compulsory in-person briefing and orientation will take place on 15 November 2025, 11am to 1 pm.
Commitment: Minimum of 4 shifts (4 screenings, where you will need to be present before and after the screening to capture pre-screening moments and post-screening Q&As where applicable).
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture photos and short reel-friendly videos at screenings, Q&As, and Festival events using their personal mobile device
- Share content promptly with the Marketing team for social media use
- Highlight behind-the-scenes and audience experiences to complement official coverage
Key Requirements:
- Own mobile phone with good photo/video quality
- Some prior experience in social media content creation is a plus. (Editing skills are not required, though it would be a bonus)
Other General Requirements for All Volunteers:

Photography Volunteers capture memorable moments of the Festival, showcasing SGIFF’s vibrant screenings, events, and exchanges. Their work is integral to documenting the Festival and sharing its spirit with a wider audience.
A compulsory in-person briefing and orientation will take place on 15 November 2025, 11am to 1 pm.
Commitment & Token of Appreciation:
- At least 3 sessions (earlier assignments prioritised on weekdays where possible)
- Stipend of $35 per session provided
- Photographers credited on the Festival website and future use of their images.
Key Responsibilities:
- Photograph screenings, masterclasses, post-screening discussions, networking sessions, and other Festival events
- Deliver high-quality images promptly for Festival use across media platforms
- Work closely with the Marketing team to cover key highlights and required deliverables
Key Requirements:
- Must provide their own camera equipment
- Prior photography experience is strongly preferred
